DCI ALANNA ROOKE
Detective Chief Inspector Alanna Rooke has built a reputation for the cases others would rather leave buried.
Methodical, relentless, and unwilling to settle for the convenient explanation, she has a habit of uncovering the truths powerful people would prefer stayed hidden.
From Newcastle's streets to the wild Northumberland coast — when an investigation turns complicated, political, or quietly dangerous, Rooke is the officer sent to see it through.

His plays Shakespeare’s Fool and A Boy Called Anne both received five-star reviews and have toured the UK and internationally. His commissioned work includes the Timesliders series for the National Trust for Scotland. He lives on the Northumberland coast with his family.
